7664-41-7 OBTENTION D'UN COMPLEXE DE FER(II) NE COMPORTANT QUE DES LIGANDS ?, LE BIS-LITHIUM TETRANAPHTHYLFERRATE, ET SA TRANSFORMATION PAR ACTION DE C3H7Li EN UN COMPLEXE REDUCTEUR DE N2

FeCl3 and naphthyllithium in ether at -30 deg C afford an iron(II) complex containing ?-ligands only, dilithium tetranaphthyl ferrate, which is stable at room temperature, in the absence of air and water and crystallises with two moles of ether. The anion of this "ate" complex is tetrahedral (X-ray crystal structure). This is the first example of an iron(II) compound containing ?-Ar ligands only. The complex does not react with N2, but with C3H7Li or C6H5Li it forms a compound which reduces N2. https://www.lookchem.com/CASDataBase_7664-41-7.htm
